"You concentrate on the effort. We take care of the details."
The Day of The Hour is a nationally sanctioned, day long track event, held bi-annually at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre (MNCC) Velodrome in Milton Ontario. As many as eight pre-selected athletes will race, one at a time, in their attempt to establish a new World Record for the Hour in their declared category.
In 2018, there will only be one Day of The Hour event, scheduled for Saturday, August 25th. Beginning in 2019, the Day of the Hour will be held twice yearly, once in the spring, and once in the late summer.
The Mattamy National Cycling Centre is an indoor cycling facility located in Milton, Ontario, Canada. The facility was build for the 2015 Pan American Games. The velodrome is a UCI homologated, 250 metre track made of Siberian spruce timber with two 42-degree angle banks on the corners and 13-degree banked straight aways.

I felt lucky to be involved with the Day of the Hour an event that brought together a great group of athletes. The Day of the Hour organization made me feel like a pro-tour cyclist for a day – just show up and ride with everything else taken care of. If you are considering the hour record, I highly recommend being involved with the Day of the Hour. I’ve organized the logistics on my own a few times and it really adds to the stress. Minimizing distractions and stress is one of the keys to your best performance.
